You are Tea-riffic!

Today was such a good day!  When you're kids are small, you see them changing all the time, but what I wasn't ready for was to see my older daughter grow into such an amazing, responsible, hard-working, deeply goodhearted woman!  She's in college and today we spent time walking around her campus, visiting her sorority house and talked, talked, talked.  She's got it together and truly amazes me everyday - Sweetie, you are Tea-riffic!!

For my card, I used dies from Stampin Up.  I love this pattern paper that I found in my "fall" stash.  A bit non-traditional for fall (actually, I like non-traditional colors for Christmas, too), but I was drawn to the color mix -- they made me feel warm, just like a cup of tea would :)

Celebrate the Warmth of Christmas

It certainly IS looking a lot like Christmas -- in all the craft stores at least!  That makes me happy because I make Christmas cards all year long!  I love the warmth of Christmas - the aroma of pines and wood burning fireplaces, the decorations that just seem to make our home warm and just the spirit of anticipation and excitement for the miracle to come!  That's certainly something to celebrate!!

For my card, I chose this beautiful Carta Bella Special Delivery pattern paper.  I also go to play with a new stamp set and die collection I bought from Concord & 9th: Take a Bough.  The frame die is from My Favorite Things and  cute little rusty bells are from Paper Sweeties!

Autumn Blessings

I do love Fall and am waiting for it to start getting cooler (temps here have stayed in the mid to high 80s!)  The leaves haven't begun to change yet, but when they do - bright yellows, reds and russet colors - it is truly a blessing to see!

For my card I chose a new Echo Park embossing folder for the background and a Simon Says stamp/die set: Autumn Blessings.  It might be difficult to see, but I used the die to cut the wreath image in gold cardstock and placed behind the stamped one.

Teacher Thanks

I thought this card would be so cute to give a teacher (with a Starbucks gift certificate, of course!)  My daughter, however, is in college and those wonderful teacher gifts we used to make for her teaches have gone by the wayside.  But there are other "teachers" in my life now...the person who takes the time to show me a new program on my PC or a career mentor!

Doodlebug Designs has the absolute cutest pattern paper for fall (and'll see those soon!)  The cup die is My Favorite Things' as is the flowers; the Pencil and sentiment dies are from Papertrey Ink and the Apple is from Clearly Besotted.

Thinking of You

It's not often I make a card that could be sent to a lady or gentleman, but I think this one would work for both...don't you think?  I found this pattern paper in my stash and really liked the blues/greens against the kraft (plus I'm a sucker for polka dots...these are like, well, hexagon dots!)

The image I used is from a Tim Holtz set that came with the matching dies (sweet!) as is the embossing folder used on the green tag.  The stir stick is a little "reuse" embellishment :)

Perk Up - It's Fall!

What's better than a cup of coffee?  TWO cups of coffee, of course!  That will certainly perk you up -- at least it is for me :)  Actually, I came to realize that my coffee addiction was getting to be too much and have cut down my consumption (every night taking a cup of coffee to bed to sip while reading was probably not the best idea)!

For my card, I paper pieced this wonderful coffee cup image from Stamplorations as is the sentiment.  The background embossing folder I used is from Echo Park (love their folders!)

Coffee Frame

This square frame shaker has a latte coffee (and cocoa and tea!)  These cute little Lawn Fawn images that I colored with copic markers are from the Love You a Latte set and their new fall paper (love!)  I had so much fun putting this one together!
