The Perfect Blend

There's almost nothing like spending time with friends.  I'm so blessed to have a few very close friends.  We don't see each other very often, but when we do get together, everything just seems 'right' in the world.  We share current news, our sorrows, fears, joys, give/take advice and totally support each other.  Yes, I'm truly blessed!

My card was created by first making a Distressed Oxide ink background.  Then I cut brown cardstock with this amazing die from Dare 2B Artzy: Leave Background.  The darling coffee cup was created using a die by SugarPea Designs: Coffee To Go Cup and the sentiment is from a fabulous SugarPea Designs set: The Perfect Blend.

Simply Caffeine and Kindness

In the mail today, I received a surprise from a very sweet person...she wrote a lovely note in a card with a Starbucks gift certificate!  It was totally unexpected, but really made my day...a gift of caffeine and kindness!!

For my simple card, I gold embossed these lovely outlined leaf images from Simon Says Stamp's One With Nature set.  The two cup images and sentiment are from a couple of wonderful sets from Right At Home: Cup of Joy.  I then stamped the One With Nature images onto the cup and the sentiment onto the base.

Monster Warm Thoughts

This is kinda what I look like before I've had my coffee, too - and my 'thoughts' are more monstrous thoughts than warm :)  At least this little guy seems happy - maybe it's because he brought his own bag of coffee beans to grind and brew!

For my card, I used some fun things from Paper Smooches.  First, I created a background with Distress Oxide inks.  The bag was cut from kraft cardstock using Paper Smooches Deco Bag die then stamped the web and spider from the Halloweenies set.  The cute monster is also from Halloweenies.  I then die cut the coffee beans and cup using the Coffee/Tea dies.

Thanks a Latte

It's already Day 4 of the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop!  I wanted to take a minute to give a big shout out to Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali Narla for all their hard work and long hours they put in during these hops!!  "Thanks A Latte"!!

For my card today, I layered some bright fall colored papers.  The image (and sentiment) I chose is one of my favorites from Your Next Stamp - Nellie Loves Lattes - which I stamped, colored and die cut.  Isn't she just darling?!

Sunflower Hello

Sunflowers really do make me happy -- so does coffee! I'm simple like that!  There's a farmer's market that comes near my office once a week and making this card reminded me that I should stop by and pick up a big bunch of these happy florals for our kitchen island!   Seeing a pretty floral arrangement in my house is like bringing a bit of sunshine inside!

For my card, I layered a soft leaf pattern paper to the base.  The sweet coffee cup dies from Lil Inker Designs were used to cut the pretty fall pattern paper.  These wonderful sunflower images are from Papertrey Ink and the centers/leaves are from different MFT Die-namic sets.  The 'hello' is from Papertrey Ink's Bloomin' Cute die collection.

Falling For You

When my daughter was younger, our tradition in the fall was to go to two local farms - one to pick apples and the other to pick pumpkins.  The pumpkin farm was an extra treat because they had hayrides and you could watch them make the kettle corn.  Such fun times!

For my card I layered several fall themed pattern papers.  The sentiment, pumpkins and cups are from a fabulous little Newton's Nook set: Fall-ing For You.  Sweet Newton sleeping on his pumpkin patch and the wagon are from Wagon of Wishes.

It's Magical

The most 'magical' part of my day is that first sip of coffee in the morning -- aahh!  There's nothing like it!  There must be little fairies around who sprinkle some magic dust in my cup :)

For my card, I used some fun Lawn Fawn things.  After layering the base and die cutting a circle in the yellow dotted paper, I cut  plaid paper using one of the cross-stitched circle dies.  Then I stamped, die cut and colored the sweet little fairies from Fairy Friends; the shakers and cup are from the new Pumpkin Spice.  The sentiment is also from the Fairy Friends set.

Pumpkin Everything

I have a big confession to make.  I'm not a fan of pumpkin spiced latte (gasp!)  However, I'm a huge fan of enjoying a slice of pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread and also decorating pumpkins...while having a latte.  Does that count?

I'm also a fan of these wonderful images from Neat & Tangled, too!
For the card, I used a few fall colored Distressed Oxide inks and then stamped the Pumpkin Everything image over top.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the pumpkin and popped it up over the image. The sweet cups and little coffee bean images are from the Perfect Blend set (one of my favs!)  I then decorated the back flap of an envelope to coordinate with the theme of the card.
